Another Funder Pulls Out

Today we received a message from Amerada Hess, who notified us that they "can confirm that the Company has no plans to fund Oxford University in the future". SPEAK would like to thank Amerada Hess for their compassionate decision. In an age of big business, when morals and ethics often fall by the wayside in the pursuit of greater profits, it is good to see a large company like Amerada Hess make a decison based on ethical considerations. This is the second company recently contacted with regard to their funding of the University to have stated that they do not have plans to further fund the University.

In the November SPEAK will be intensifying its campaign of informing the funders of the horrors being perpetrated against sentient creatures inside the labs at Oxford University, more details will be posted on the website very soon! This is only the beginning of the SPEAK's 'Contact the Funders' campaign and we expect many more companies to reach a similiar ethical decision to that of Amerada Hess and pull the plug on any future dealings with Oxford University!
