Oxford University shows its true colours

Oxford University is finally showing its true colours to the world. Professing to advocate freedom of speech, the University attempted to muzzle the animal rights movement today in the High Court.

SPEAK campaigners have remained a thorn in the side of the University since the campaign began earlier this year when they exposed as false the information being disseminated by the University regarding the development in South Parks Rd.

Out of fear of continuing exposure, the Universityhas sought to curtail the democratic rights of campaigners, and further, to restrict the entire movement's right to legally protest. The implementation of such draconian laws would sit more happily in a dictatorship than in a democracy.

However, we at SPEAK can assure our supporters and the University itself, that it's business as usual. As far as we are concerned, the injunction taken out against us, whilst restricting, will not massively hamper our efforts at exposing Oxford's lies. We will be continuing, with your help, to put an end to fraudulent science and animal torture.

In the next few days, we will be releasing more information regarding the injunction. But now is not the time to be easing up. The animals need us all and the SPEAK campaign needs your help to succeed. Help us to stop the development of the South Parks Rd laboratory.

Together we can and will win.
