The Reality of Vivisection

It's difficult to imagine the type of person that can work inside a vivisection laboratory. The video footage you are about to see shows the reality of the animal research laboratory; not the reality the vivisectors would like people to believe.

It's a strange society we live in where people that inflict such suffering are lauded in the media as heroes whilst those that try and stop it are the "terrorists"!

The images you will see cannot be dismissed by the vivisectors as unrepresentative of what goes on inside laboratories the world over, and that includes the UK. A favourite argument of the vivisectors is that Britain has the highest welfare standards in the world. Such arguments are clearly ridiculous when one looks at the video footage available from undercover investigations undertaken in the UK.

The sanitised footage shown on telvision are the images the vivisectors want people to see, it is a deliberate attempt to hoodwink the public as to the horrors going on inside UK laboratories, the footage you are about to see is what they dont want you to see! Undercover investigations at Huntingdon Life Sciences, just outside Cambridge, show beagles being punched, shaken and sworn at. Footage taken from Cambridge University shows marmosets clearly being negleted after major brain surgery; in pain and distressed. Let's not also forget the leading Oxford University professor who, despite being told by a vet to put out of its misery a primate he was experimenting on as the animal was in so much pain, argued and refused and only backed down when he saw fit to do so with absolutely no consideration for the suffering the monkey was experiencing. Predictably the Police and CPS did nothing despite a clear breach of animal welfare regulations.

The images you will see are nothing new. However, they illustrate the fate of the animals that will be imprisoned and experimented on inside the new lab in South Parks Rd, if it is ever allowed to be completed.

Such images will only reinforce the belief of every compassionate individual that Oxford University must be stopped from building another animal torture centre.
